WHO WE ARE

'People are your most valuable asset'

'Maximise your team's potential'

'Empower your team'

What do these often used phrases really mean, and is teamwork really so vital? At teamability we believe that effective teamwork is a key to success in today's highly competitive market.
'No man is an island' - our teambuilding workshops aim to get the best from people through people.

teamability are training and development specialists with significant experience in all areas of interpersonal skills development. Full CIPD membership ensures continued professional updating and credibility, and recent research undertaken by teamability confirms a continual search for excellence in the field of human development, particularly in use of the outdoors and experiential learning, which can be known as 'learning by doing'.
At teamability we focus on developing self-awareness and awareness of others through active involvement in team-based activities. We believe that being a good team member means knowing yourself, what you're good at and what not so good, knowing the other members of the team, how to relate with them, and where they can help in achieving the team's objectives.

Our theoretical foundation is based on Kolb's experiential learning cycle of 'do', 'reflect', 'conclude' and 'plan'. Research shows that review of the learning process is the most important and valuable part of any learning activity. Extensive primary research conducted by teamability this year confirms this finding, and explains why effective review and reflection are important components of our programmes.

Our philosophy

teamability is run by professional people development specialists with many years experience across a wide spectrum of business and industry.

We believe in fostering learning which is relaxed, informal and fun, where real learning can take place in a non-threatening environment.

Our recent Masters degree research confirms the appropriateness of the Kolb experiential learning cycle as our main theoretical base; ( act, reflect, conclude and plan)

Other theories drawn on may include models such as action-centred and situational leadership, team role theory, and models of effective communication, conflict handling, and problem-solving.

Why is teamability different?

  • We combine expertise in outdoor development design and facilitation with skills in management development theory.
  • We can provide a venue anywhere in the UK.
  • We offer good value inclusive workshops.
  • You deal with the same teamability people throughout, from design to workshop facilitation and follow up.
What we can offer

We offer a full range of interpersonal skills training and development for all levels. Complexity can range from 'fun' teambuilding events to classroom-based lectures and discussions, focusing on theoretical conceptualisation around the areas of teamwork, leadership, and effective communication.
